[LG teams up with audio legend Mark Levinson]

{ Mr. Mark Levinson }
Global and regional digital leader LG Electronics and celebrated hi-fi innovator Mark Levinson announced their collaboration to develop products that deliver enhanced sound quality and a differentiated, stylish design.

After successfully launching the music-oriented LG Cyon mobile handset globally last year, the audio legend will now partner with LG to develop and personally tune selected premium home theatre systems. For the Cyon handset, Levinson helped create a number of pre-set equaliser options, such as jazz and pop, with better effect than usual.

?This bold initiative of partnering with Mark Levinson is one of several underway that support LG?s goal of becoming a top player in the global audio and mobile phone market,? said Mr. K.W. Kim, CEO of LG Electronics ? Middle East & Africa Regional Company. ?Consumers value superior sound quality in home entertainment systems and Levinson is the obvious choice to help elevate sound quality in LG?s new product line.?

The partnership will see the launch of two new LG systems, AP3133 and LHT888, both delivering dynamic sound quality and superior design. ?These sound systems are so good, it's shocking,? Levinson said. ?Even the most jaded audio veterans are going to be completely knocked out.?

The high-definition AP3133 AV home theatre system features multi-driver floor-standing loudspeakers, centre channel speaker, surrounds, and powerful subwoofer.

The system includes a 7.1-channel AV receiver with 150 Watts RMS X 7 "ICEpower" output stage, Burr-Brown PCM 1796 24bit/192kHz DAC, multi-input HDMI switching with near 1080p upscaling, 1080p pass through, HD Radio capability, and Audessey Auto Room Multi EQ Adjustment. The system is built around LG?s award-winning ?Super Blu? dual-format player.

For dor-conscious movie-and-music fans, LG is unveiling its LHT888 home theatre system, a foray into stunning contemporary design. Inspired by the slim elegant form of the champagne glass, LHT888?s loudspeakers feature multiple drivers in parabolic housings, each with a tapered integrated pedestal.

The system includes a 700W 5.1-channel DVD receiver with near 1080p upscaling, built-in wireless kit, USB Media Plus, HDMI output, LG SimpLink? multi-device control (HDMI-CEC) and multi-format playback compatibility.
